Enhanced Amenties = More Bang for Your Buck!

As Innkeepers we meet hundreds of new people every year and look forward to seeing guests return year after year. We also recognize that a visit to Maine is often more than just a vacation -- it is an experience and one that most will not want to forget. Our goal is to provide you with a guest experience that will be remembered as being the cleanest, most comfortable, worry free lodging that you have ever experienced and one of the attributes that makes a stay at the White Pines Inn so fulfilling is our response to guest feedback.

Although we have only had a handful of requests for in-room coffee makers - we recognize that when you wake up in the morning the scent of a fresh cup of coffee is simply perfect. We are pleased to announce that every room will now feature a gourmet Keurig brewer capable of brewing coffee, tea and even hot cocoa! We will include provisions for each guest to enjoy a cup of piping hot Green Mountain Roasters coffee. For those guests that enjoy our complimentary coffee available in our reception area - don't fret -- that's still available as well!

We are also pleased to announce that our rooms will now feature Neutrogena Personal Care products. As occasional travelers ourselves, we enjoy seeing quality personal care products in the rooms and for that reason we have selected Neutrogena for their impeccable quality.

In a nutshell, if there is something you would like to see when your staying with us at the White Pines Inn, sometimes you just have to ask. Hospitality IS our business.

Spring at the White Pines

Ahhh the signs of Spring are all around us now...crocuses poking up through the ground, chickadees ending their long winter silence and calling back and forth with their familiar song, the ever shrinking snow pack - showing it's age in layers like some sort of archaeological dig..."that's the snow from November, and that band is December's snow, then January, then February"...

As the days grow longer and the warmth of the Sun draws us out of our Winter habitat, we are busy getting ready for what is shaping up to be a busy season. The rooms are being freshened up and we're adding some creature comforts that we hope new and returning guests will enjoy -- more on that in a later post.

Students and families at Saint Joseph's College in Standish Maine will have cause for celebration on May 9, 2009 as that is the date of Graduation! Click here to view availability. The White Pines Inn is proud to list among it's regular guests the faculty and students of Saint Joe's and we look forward to continuing to provide clean, comfortable and convenient accommodations for the College. Congratulations Class of 2009!

Sebago Ice Fishing Derby

The 2009 Sebago Lake Ice Fishing Derby is poised to be better than ever. This year the main events return to Raymond Beach in Jordan Bay - less than 1 mile from our parking lot!

Today's temperature is a bone chilling 3 degrees Fahrenheit with temps predicted well below zero tonight. Jordan Bay is forming a nice thick layer of ice as are the edges of the eastern shore of the big bay. The northeastern portion of the Lake surrounding the Dingley Islands started to freeze earlier this week and if these temps persist, we may have a completely frozen Sebago in fairly short order!

For those avid fishermen - you'll be pleased to know that the moon will be in a waning gibbous phase on it's way to the new moon which will occur a few days after the Sebago Derby ends - not perfect but certainly better than the Full Moon during the Derby of 2008!
